Before operating a forklift, you'll learn the essential safety knowledge required by OSHA. During classroom instruction, we cover forklift safety procedures, equipment inspections, load handling techniques, workplace hazards, and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 requirements. This portion of the training helps operators understand how to safely and confidently operate forklifts in real-world work environments.
After completing classroom instruction, you'll participate in practical, hands-on forklift training. Our instructors will guide you through operating procedures, equipment controls, maneuvering techniques, and safe load handling practices. You'll then complete an OSHA-required operator evaluation to demonstrate your ability to safely operate a forklift and apply the skills learned during training.
Once you successfully complete the training and operator evaluation, you'll receive OSHA-compliant forklift certification documentation. Certification is valid for three years and demonstrates that you have completed the required training and evaluation necessary to operate forklifts safely in warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, and industrial environments. Many employers require forklift certification as part of their hiring process, making certification a valuable step toward expanding employment opportunities.
